Electrical Generating Unit

APPLICATION FOR GETTING FITNESS CERTIFICATE FOR INSTALLATION AND CHARGING OF DIFFERENT CAPACITY OF ELECTRICAL GENERATING UNITS REQUIRED UNDER SECTION 162(1) OF THE ELECTRICITY ACT- 2003 & REGULATION 34 OF THE CENTRAL ELECTRICITY AUTHORITY (MEASURES RELATING TO SAFETY & ELECTRIC SUPPLY) REGULATIONS, 2023.

The application of Form of Inspection Report as per Provision in CEA (Measures Relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulation, 2023 needs to be submitted to the Electrical Inspector, Power Department, Govt. of Tripura well in advance before the schedule date for charging of the generator. It is however suggested that actual installation works of generator are taken up only after obtaining approval of drawings of Generating sets from the Electrical Inspectorate to avoid changes that may be necessary after completion of installation work to satisfy the safety and other requirements of Electricity Act, 2003 & Regulations made thereunder.
